How to create scales for a makeup look

Purpose: To inform

Specific purpose: My specific purpose is to demonstrate to an audience how to create scales using makeup

Introduction

We all know what it is like to pick a horrible last minute costume for Halloween. Planning your Halloween costume  months in advance will ensure your costume looks amazing. If you wanna be a mermaid,snake or dragon  or anything with scales I have a makeup tip for you. Today I will be demonstrating a simple technique to create scales using makeup.

This process is quick and easy. I will begin by listing the materials needed to complete this look. Then I will discuss skin preparation to make the look last longer and improve the application of the products. Finally I will list and explain the step by step process to create the scales. If you aren’t an artist like me this makeup technique will really bring your look together.

Body

1. Materials needed

1.Makeup sponge and brushes

2. Fishnet Stocking

3. Cream palette or face paint

4. White color corrector

5. Glitter / Highlighter

6. Primer

2. Skin Preparation

1. Cleanse skin
2. Moisturize skin
3. Apply primer

C.Step by step process

1. Pull fishnets over head and secure it so it does not move.
2. Put white color corrector on the makeup sponge and blend into the area that you want the scales on by  tapping it onto the skin , making sure not to drag the sponge.
3. Apply  desired  colors from the cream palette onto the same area using the sponge making sure to tap onto skin.
4. When satisfied with the shade of color, carefully remove the fishnets.
5. Take the makeup  brush and gently  apply some highlighter to the area with the same technique used with the sponge above.

Using all these materials, correctly preparing your skin for the application and following this step by step process I just explained you will be able to successfully create scales .
